4 Passenger Gas Lifted Base Model Electric Golf Cart Rental Restrictions: Golf carts without lights may be operated only during daylight hours. Golf carts can not be driven on beaches. Golf carts shall not be operated on or alongside a public road or street with a posted speed limit greater than 35 miles per hour.  Golf carts may cross a road with a posted speed limit greater than 35 mph. However, once this segment of road has been trans versed, the golf cart is still required to travel only on or along a roadway with a speed limit of 35 mph or less. Golf carts must cross in a manner that is the most direct route in order to decrease crossing distance, i.e. no riding along a road or crossing at an angle. Under no circumstance is a golf cart allowed to cross over a bridge.

Any person who operates a golf cart must be responsible for all liability associated with operation of the golf cart and must have liability insurance coverage.  Any person who operates a golf cart must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older. No person may operate a golf cart unless that person is licensed to drive upon the public streets, roads and highways and then, only in accordance with such valid driver’s license. Golf cart operators must carry their driver’s license, insurance card & golf cart permit on their person at all times while operating a golf cart on public roads.

Any person who operates a golf cart on public streets and roads must adhere to all applicable State and local laws, regulations and ordinances, including but not limited to those banning the possession and use of alcoholic beverages, and all other illegal drugs. In addition, no golf cart containing any open container of alcohol shall be operated on public roads. The operator of the golf cart shall comply with all traffic rules and regulations adopted by the State governs the operation of motor vehicles. An operator may not allow the number of people in the golf cart at any one time to exceed the maximum capacity specified by the manufacturer. The operator shall not allow passengers to ride on any part of a golf cart not designed to carry passengers, such as the part of the golf cart designed to carry golf bags. In no instance shall a golf cart be operated at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour. No golf cart may be operated at a speed greater than reasonable and prudent for the existing conditions. Golf carts must be operated at the right edge of the roadway and must yield to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Golf carts must park in designated spaces in such a manner that multiple golf carts can utilize the space. All parking rules and limits apply. No parking on sidewalks is allowed. Golf carts must have basic equipment supplied by the manufacturer, including a vehicle identification or serial number.

Must Know & Use Hand Signals: A motorist shall indicate a right turn by extending the left arm upward, by raising the left arm to the square, or by extending the right arm horizontally to the right. A motorist shall indicate a left turn by extending the left arm horizontally. A motorist shall indicate stopping or decreasing speed by extending the left arm or the right arm downward.

4 Passenger Gas Lifted Base Model Electric Golf Cart Rental Upon Arrival: Upon arrival renters must inspect all rental items for satisfactory condition. Unsatisfactory rental items must be reported to Surfside Golf Cart Rentals within twenty-four (24) hours of check in time. If unsatisfactory linen rental or gear rental items are not reported within twenty-four (24) hours of check in time items are then deemed satisfactory and the renter will be held liable for any damage found upon pickup w/out prior report to Surfside Golf Cart Rentals. Effective your arrival day, we do not offer Refunds. We will replace your item, offer alternative equipment of a comparable value, or issue a credit for a future rental.  Please report all requests for exchanges or additional equipment by 12:00PM to ensure same day service.  Requests made after 12:00 PM will be serviced the following day.

4 Passenger Gas Lifted Base Model Electric Golf Cart Rental Lessee Disclosure: The Lessee acknowledges that Lessee has inspected the equipment and has determined that it is in good condition and suitable for the purpose for which it has been leased upon delivery. The Lessee shall only use the property in the manner for which it is designed and intended to be used. Lessee assumes all responsibility for equipment while out of possession of the lessor and promises to return such equipment to the lessor in as good condition as it was at the effective date of the lease, natural wear from a responsible use expected. Lessee shall be liable for all charges, including labor costs to repair or replace rented equipment, any loss, theft, damage, or destruction of leased property.  All equipment lost or damaged beyond repair will be paid by the lessee at regular replacement price. All damaged equipment which may be repaired will be repaired by the lessor, on return thereof and the cost for such repairs shall be paid by the lessee. Accrued rental charges cannot be applied against the purchase price or cost of repairs of such damaged or lost equipment. If equipment is returned in unusable condition, the rental term and fees for rental continue until equipment is repaired or replaced to usable rent-able condition.

4 Passenger Gas Lifted Base Model Electric Golf Cart Rental Lessee Indemnification: Lessee shall indemnify and hold Surfside Golf Cart Rentals, it’s officers, directors, agents, employees harmless from all claims, damages (including consequential damages), losses, liabilities, claims, suits, cost, expenses, or proceedings (including all costs, expenses, and attorney’s fees) resulting from, related to, or arising out of Lessor’s use or possession of the equipment. This equipment shall be used by the Lessee only. This writing contains and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. This lease agreement can only be modified by a written agreement signed by both Lessor and Lessee. The Lessee represents that Lessee is at least eighteen (18) years of age and under no disability which will prevent Lessee from entering into this agreement. Lessee agrees not to part with or assign this lease or the equipment without the written consent of the Lessor.

4 Passenger Gas Lifted Base Model Electric Golf Cart Rental Lessee Risk: All equipment is used at Renter’s risk. Renter understands that there exist certain risks of injury from the use or misuse of such items, including the potential risk of serious injury, disability, or death from the use of such items and agrees to assume all risks in connection with rental equipment, regardless of fault, including without limitation risk of use, risk of loss, risk of theft, risk of damage or destruction.  Renter assumes all responsibility for rented equipment while in Renter’s possession. Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Surfside Golf Cart Rentals and their officers, shareholders, owners, operators, agents, and employees from any claim arising from renter’s use, operation, or possession of the rented equipment. Under no circumstances will Surfside Golf Cart Rentals. be held responsible for any damage to person or property, disability, injury, or loss, including death, arising from the use of any rented equipment or the failure of the equipment to function as intended by the manufacturer.

4 Passenger Gas Lifted Base Model Electric Golf Cart Rental Cancellations: Cancellations without penalty must be made 90 Days Prior To Arrival. Cancellations made 60-89 Days prior to arrival will have a 25% cancellation fee applied.  Cancellations made 30-59 Days prior to arrival will have a 50% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 15-29 Days prior to arrival date will have a 75% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 00-14 Days prior to arrival are non-refundable. Minimum cancellation fee is $25.00 Upon Delivery Day, we do not offer refunds we will replace your item if dissatisfied, offer alternative equipment of a comparable value or a credit for a future rental.
